We have always talked about how we see the ARC Stellars’ collection as a long-term hold. We want members to ride this journey with us, to co-build and shape the community experience and of course, benefit from all the ways in which we’re going to collectively create value together. 

To get there, we felt it is critically important that the final artwork that each holder gets is something that they can resonate with and a piece that everyone would like to have as their actual profile picture online. We felt that customisation would be a meaningful approach to achieve this outcome.

We wanted the ARC Stellars’ collection to reflect the actual members we have in real-life.  Our community is made up of a diverse collective of individuals with various skill sets, personalities and strengths and we wanted the collection to capture this reality. 

So for this refreshed artwork, we have developed 6 different Passion archetypes that were inspired by the members of ARC and the elements - Water, Metal, Fire, Earth, Nature and Space. 

The idea was that each Passion archetype would be a representative of certain attitudinal and personality traits that different members of ARC might resonate with. Each holder will get the option of choosing their archetype before further customising it with a selection of traits to generate their very own, unique artwork and digital identity. 

In total, we have 6 different Passion archetypes. Pyrolyte (The Gladiator), Astralon (The Visionary), Edenflor (The Alchemist), Celestron (The Tinkerer), Terramorph (The Guardian) and Hydroglyph (The Maestro).

Apart from choosing your Passion archetype, which is one of the core pillars of the entire Stellars’ collection, you will also be presented with a selection of traits to choose from across these categories: Expression, Head (includes Hair and headgear), Top, Bottom, Facewear, and Offhand. 

We have also added an element of surprise to the experience. You have 3 chances to re-roll for a refreshed set of traits and an alternative DNA. There is a chance that none of the traits from your current roll are retained, so choose wisely.

After selecting and confirming your traits, you will be presented with four background options, including one unique to the Passion archetype you selected. This allows you to decide which option best complements the digital identity you’ve created.

Regular NFT projects design collections with traits that are tiered in rarity. However as a membership collective, we have prioritised relatability over rarity, so that every Stellar can create a digital identity that truly represents them.

Our traits are designed such that all of them are desirable and appealing to different segments of our community of Stellars. Whenever a Stellar is customised, the metadata of your Stellar will refresh accordingly.

Through this collection, we hope to create a stronger community of Stellars who have a deeper emotional attachment to their digital identity.

The Stellars’ collection utilises 3D art which has a different creative process from 2D art. 

In order to provide Stellars with a high-resolution quality of the final artwork after customisation, there will need to be a 3D rendering process that will take some time, before the artwork can be refreshed on OpenSea. 

That is the only way we can ensure the quality of the artwork is not compromised. On the customisation website, as you mix and match different traits, you’ll actually be seeing a preview of how your Stellar will look like (but that will be an optimised version of the artwork for the website experience). Once your choices are confirmed, your artwork will go through the 3D rendering process. 

If you customised your Stellar between 31 Aug and 6 Sep 2023, your Stellar will be revealed on 7 Sep 2023. If you customised your Stellar after 6 Sep 2023, it will take 2 business days to view your final artwork.

For now, to ensure you get to create a look that you love, customisation will be available as an experience until we mint out. 

Upon that time, we will communicate a time period after which the entire collection will be locked.

As we are looking at 3D art, every customisation requires time and resources to go through a rendering process before it can be refreshed on OpenSea. 

We thought hard about it and decided, in line with our original thinking around wanting Stellars to create a digital identity that they really resonate with, that we would allow all Stellars to re-customise their artwork without any restrictions until the collection mints out. 

Of course, if your artwork is actually being rendered, you will not be able to re-customise it. But once it’s rendered and refreshed on OpenSea, if you feel that you do not like how it looks, you’ll be able to visit the website and customise your Stellar again. 

This will also allow Stellars who bought their Stellars via secondary marketplaces to re-customise the existing look on the Stellar that they purchased until they find a look that they want. We want all Stellars at this stage who are entering our ecosystem to be able to find a look that they relate to and deepen their affinity with the community.

You'll be able to customise all your Stellars! Once you connect your wallet on the customisation site, you'll get a view of all the Stellars you hold, and you can choose the one you'd like to customise. You can choose to customise them all at once or come back anytime to customise the rest.

Whether you've minted Stellar or bought it from the secondary marketplaces, we want to give everyone the power to create a digital identity that is relatable to them. That means even if you've bought a customised Stellar, you would still be able to re-customise and create a look that is relatable to you.

There are a total of 204 traits in the Stellars’ collection during launch.  We are also exploring future expansion plans for the collection, so we welcome feedback on what you love and what you would like to see more of. Together, we can co-create a collection that embodies the diversity of ARC.

Due to the use of 3D artwork, the website programming we are tapping on is a specialised one that would require more time for mobile development. However, in order not to delay our launch of the Stellar’ customisation experience, we have decided to proceed with the desktop experience first. 

The tailored experience will be extended to mobile in the near future. Keep a lookout for it.

The traits in the collection are non-tradable at the moment. Our focus is to enable you to create a unique digital identity that resonates with you. As such the algorithm has been designed such that your selected traits combination will be owned by you and you alone.

Yes, protecting Stellars’ digital assets is a key priority for this experience. That is why we support delegate wallets.

As a holder of both an ARC Stellar and Fyrian, you are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free commercial rights to use your customised Stellar. If you’ve bought an ARC Stellar from the secondary marketplace, you will need to apply to mint a Fyrian token in order to use your customised Stellar for commercial purposes.

The Stellar artwork should be used as a whole, instead of merely utilising individual components of the artwork to create something new.

The use of Stellar for purposes such as pornography, fundraising, promoting hatred, intolerance, violence, cruelty, political campaigning or any other use cases that may hurt or damage the ARC Brand is strictly prohibited.

We have also documented how Stellar Intellectual Property should be used to safeguard the interests of our community and the ARC brand. You can refer to the ARC Stellar IP Terms and Conditions for more details. Breaching any of the provisions found on the terms of use will result in automatic termination of the granted license.

The creator royalty fee remains in place for every secondary sale of Stellar on the marketplace. Once the Stellar is sold, ownership of the commercial rights will be transferred to the new owner.
